Moving your money around should be quick and easy. With today's technology, it is. There are many different ways to move your money and places to move it to, so we made this page to help you get your money to the right place on time.

Internal Transfers

Transfers between Bank of Internet USA accounts are instant and funds are available immediately.

To set up an internal money transfer:

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Click Move Money.
  3. Click Schedule a Transfer.
  4. Click Add and set up the internal transfer.

External Transfers

Transfers between your Bank of Internet USA account and an external account can take up to 3 business days.

To setup an external transfer:

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Click Move Money.
  3. Click External Transfer
  4. Click Transfer Between My Accounts
  5. Click Add a New Account and establish a link betwen your other financial institutions.

Once the account is established return to External Transfers and enter the dollar amount you wish to send in the Amount field, select the From and To accounts from the drop down menu, select a Send on date, and click Continue.

Transfer processing fees:

  • Standard 3-day processing:
    • Incoming and outgoing - Free
  • Next Day processing:
    • Incoming - Free
    • Outgoing - $7.00 (per item)

Outgoing transfer limits:

  • From your checking account - unlimited
  • From your savings or money market account - 6 transfers a month

Dollar limits:

  • Maximum per day in or out $2000.00
  • Maximum per month $5,000.00

Popmoney Transfers

Popmoney is an online banking app that is convenient both for you and the people with whom you exchange money.

Sending money:

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Click on Move Money.
  3. Select External Transfers.
  4. Click select under Pay other People Money (Popmoney) on the right side.

Receiving money:

  1. You will receive an email or text message informing you that someone has sent you money.
  2. Log into Online Banking and have the funds directed there. Set up Automatic Deposit to always have the funds directed there.
  3. Alternatively, you may provide your bank account information at Popmoney.com. Your money will then be directed to that account.

(If you don’t provide your account information, the payment will be automatically returned to the sender.)

Transfer delivery:

  • Standard 3 business day delivery:
    • If the recipient has used Popmoney and has Automatic Deposit turned on.
    • You have provided your contact’s bank account information.
    (If you are sending the payment via email or mobile, your contact must provide his/her bank account information; s/he will receive the funds 3 business days later.)
  • Next business day delivery:
    • If the recipient has used Popmoney and has Automatic Deposit turned on.
    • You have provided your contact’s bank account information.
    (If you are sending the payment via email or mobile, your contact must provide his/her bank account information by 10 PM Pacific Time in order to receive the funds the next business day.)

Transfer fees:

  • Popmoney Payment - 3 day processing, per item:
    • Free
  • Popmoney Payment - Next day processing, per item:
    • $7.00

Dollar limits:

  • Maximum per day in or out $2000.00
  • Maximum per month $5,000.00

Incoming Wire Transfers

Incoming international wires must be in US dollars. To send wired funds into your Bank of Internet USA account, use the following information:

Outgoing Wire Transfers

Outbound wires must be to the credit of the Bank of Internet USA account holder.

To setup an outbound wire transfer:

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Select Wire Transfer from under the Secure Forms menu in the main navigation.
  3. Complete the online form, print it out, sign it, and send it back to us as an attachment by clicking Contact Us or fax it to 858-350-0443.

Wire cut-off times:

  • Domestic – 12:00 p.m. (PT)
  • International – 12:00 p.m. (PT)

Transfer processing fees:

  • Incoming:
    • Domestic and International - Free
  • Outgoing:
    • Domestic - $35.00
    • International - $45.00
